The European Organisation for Nuclear Research - CERN for short - conducts basic research in physics and is known among others for its work on and with the particle accelerator and its research into matter. The most important accelerator at present is the Large Hadron Collider.
With the help of elaborate configuration with technically coordinated servers and components, and an extensive test procedure, we ensured that CERN's internal server infrastructure and JBOD systems were efficiently expanded. Data analysis and data processing will thus function smoothly in the future - the best prerequisites for working with the Large Hadron Collider.
The partnership with Herzoglich Bayerisches Brauhaus Tegernsee (HTB) began when the internal IT department modernised HTB's server landscape and switched to Supermicro. This brought obvious benefits, both reducing energy costs and significantly improving performance. CTT AG was commissioned to select and procure the necessary hardware and to assemble some servers.
After preliminary conceptual discussions and the assessment of priorities and possibilities, the Built-To-Order servers and PCs were delivered to HTB, exactly matching the demanding requirements of the beer production.
